Resize! 1.6.2
Resizing modes

Proportional resizing

This is the simplest mode, and should be the most frequently used. It always preserve the proportions (height/width ratio) of pictures.

Options:

  • Biggest: the value you entered will be applied to the biggest size of every picture, depending on their format (horizontal or vertical).
  • Smallest: Same as above, except that the value entered will be applied to the smallest side.
  • Width: The value you entered will be applied to the width of the picture, regardless of its format.
  • Height: the value you entered will be applied to the height of the picture, regardless of its format.
  • Percent: both width and height will be multiplied by this percentage. if you want to increase the pictures' size (by using a value greater than 100), remember to check the "Increase picture size if needed" checkbox.

Box resizing

In this mode, you specify the height and width of a "box", and Resize! will resize the pictures so that they fit in it, without changing their proportions (height/width ratio).

Independent resizing

This is the only mode that does not respect a picture's proportions; height and width are treated seperatly.

Options:

  • Pixels: the picture's width or height will be changed to the value you enter, regardless of the other dimension
  • Percent: the picture's width or height will be multiplied by this percentage. If you want to increase a picture's size (by specifying a percentage bigger than 100), remember to check the "Increase picture size if needed" checkbox.
